Jewish Family Service Food Security Assistant
This position will work in conjunction with the JFS Food Pantry Manager to keep all the agency’s food programs operating effectively and efficiently. Each food program supports individuals and families who experience food insecurity. Activities include: food procurement, food distribution, analyzation of usage data, and communication with clients and volunteers.
- Oversee preparation of grocery deliveries; pack bags as needed
- Serve as “floor manager” on open pantry days
- Oversee pantry volunteers onsite, as needed
- Track and report pantry inventory as needed
- Collaborate with care managers of the agency regarding client’s grocery needs
- Assist with on-site garden, as needed.

Recommended Skills:
- Advanced interpersonal skills
- Basic math
- Ability to multi-task successfully.
- Must be able to bend, lift, and carry and stand or sit for long periods of time.
