The 2007 Workum Fund Summer Interns.

Lisa Del Sesto just completed her Freshman year at Kenyon College in Gambier,Ohio.
She graduated in the class of 2006 from Wyoming High School. Lisa plans to double
major in History and English. She previously volunteered with the United Way Youth
Action Council, and participated in a Pre-Orientation volunteer program at Kenyon.
Lisa could not be more excited to be working in the Jewish Community of Cincinnati
through the Workum program!

Lisa will intern at the Northern Hills Synagogue.

Katie Gordon is a Junior at Michigan State University, in The School of Social Work.
She hopes to become a Clinical Social Worker, working in a School or privately. She
volunteers at White Hills Nursing Home in her college town. Katie is excited to be a
part of the Workum program, it is a great chance to gain experience in the field of
Social Work, while helping to make a difference in Cincinnati's Jewish community.

Katie will intern for the Options Cincinnati program at Jewish Family Service.

Elyse Greenberg is currently a Junior at American University in Washington DC, where she is
studying public communications, marketing, and Jewish studies. A graduate of Wyoming High
School, Elyse has been involved in many facets of the Jewish community - both locally and
nationally. Last year she served as the NFTY North American Membership and
Communications Vice President where she worked to empower youth and deepen relationships
between participants and staff. Elyse is also active on her college campus where she is the
president of Kesher, the Reform Jewish student group on campus and an active sister of
Alpha Epsilon Phi. She hopes that her experiences this summer through Workum will serve to enhance her not only professionally, but also Jewishly.

Elyse will intern at the Jewish Community Center.

Andrea Nadel is in her second year of studies at The Ohio State University in Columbus,
OH. She is majoring in International Studies, with focuses in International Relations &
Diplomacy and Middle Eastern Studies, and minoring in Sociology. Her interests include
experiencing diverse cultures, foreign films, learning foreign languages, art, classical music,
spending time with friends and family, and traveling. Andrea considers interpersonal
relationships among the most important relationships that can be formed, and for that
reason she is very excited to be working with the Jewish Family Services' Center for
Holocaust Survivors through the Workum Fund this summer.

Dena Rapoport joins Workum for the summer of 2007 after having spent her
freshman year at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. She is a graduate
of Sycamore High School where she was co-president of Hebrew Club. During
high school she was also involved with USY as Congregation B'nai Tzedek chapter
president, served on Central Region USY's regional general board, and co-chaired
the Israel Teen Council of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. Dena attended
Genesis at Brandeis University and also Alexander Muss High School in Israel.
Dena participated in the 2006 March of the Living where she traveled with a group
of Cincinnati students and thousands of other Jewish teens worldwide to Poland
and Israel. This trip motivated her to intern at the Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education with the hope of helping to educate others. Dena is excited to be back in Cincinnati and looks forward to her Workum Internship.

David Roth graduated from Cincinnati Country Day in 2006, and currently attends Miami
University in Oxford, Ohio, where he is an honors student and history major. In addition to
volunteer work, David is active on campus, participating in the Honors and Scholars Advisory
and Programming Board, Miami's Academic Team and other activities. His interests include
history, international affairs, classics, and law. With what free time he has, David enjoys playing
basketball and reading. He and his family are members of Wise Temple, and David looks forward
to his Workum internship and making a positive impact on the Jewish community.

David will intern at the American Jewish Archives.


Alec Sim is a freshman economics major at Syracuse University. He was very active in a
variety of clubs in high school, including Student Government, Latin Club, and the marching
band. At SU, he keeps busy by participating in the marching band, the basketball pep band,
and the wind ensemble. He also attends Hillel services and programs regularly, serves on his
hall council, and takes piano lessons. Alec is very excited about the opportunity of working
in his hometown Jewish Community.

Alec will intern at Cedar Village.


Sarah Warren will graduate in May 2007 from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts and
Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, Political Science, and Jewish Studies. Her career goals
include pursuing advanced degrees in public health and business. She is interested in developing
local and statewide public health and community based education projects to reduce health
disparities. Sarah is very excited to learn about and participate in the various community
projects spearheaded by the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati.

Sarah will intern at the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati.


Rachel Wolfson is ending her second year at Indiana University, whers she is an elementary
education major with an area certificate in Judaism. She hopes to work as an elementary
teacher in a school setting or with children through informal education within a community
setting. Rachel is excited about the internship and looks forward to learning a great deal.

Rachel will intern at Hillel.
